Italy: AIFS Global Education Center in Rome

Spend a semester or academic year in the historic yet modern city of Rome, Italy, with AIFS! Choose from a wide variety of courses at the AIFS Global Education Center with credit awarded by Fairfield University.

Where You'll Study

The AIFS Global Education Center in Rome is in the heart of the city within walking distance of historic sites such as the Trevi Fountain and Colosseum. Classes are held in the AIFS Center and the Resident Director is based there to help students adjust to life in Italy and provide a friendly and familiar face. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the building and there are a small number of computers for student use/printing. Academic credit for the AIFS Rome program is awarded by Fairfield University, AIFS Abroad School of Record. Fairfield is a fully accredited university and member of the New England Association of Schools and Colleges.

We are the first education abroad provider to sign on with the
Climate Action Network for International Educators (CANIE.)
Focused on making education abroad carbon neutral we include
carbon offsets for all participant's return flights, environmental
education connecting students on the ground to environmental

Through SIUE's partnership with AIFS, all SIUE students who participate in AIFS programs receive:
  • A $400 Affiliate grant toward any semester program
  • A $200 Affiliate grant toward any summer program
This grant is applied to the student's account at AIFS.
