The SIUE's long standing relationship with ESSCA, selected business majors, minors or MBA graduate students may participate in an exchange semester at the ESSCA campus in Budapest, Hungary located within the prestigious Corvinus University. A variety of core business courses and electives are offered in English. ESSCA has had a base in Budapest since 1993 and is the only French Business School in Hungary granting a degree accredited by the Conférence des Grandes Ecoles.With more than 2 million inhabitants and 10,000 companies, Hungary's capital is influential throughout Central Europe, a region of significant economic growth. In its 15 years of presence in Hungary, ESSCA has welcomed and educated close to 1,000 students from Hungary and Central Europe, along with students from around the world. COSTS
Students approved by both SIUE's School of Business and ESSCA to participate in this exchange program will be charged SIUE tuition for the anticipated SIUE equivalent courses and credit hours on the SIUE bursar bill for the semester in Budapest. In addition to the SIUE tuition, studetns will be billed for the SIUE Information Technology Fee. All other SIUE student fees are waived for the exchange semester abroad. Students will receive a tuition waiver at ESSCA and pay only administrative fees
to ESSCA.


ADDITIONAL COSTS: Airline ticket to Budapest, housing costs, meals, spending money and incidental expenses. The Practical Guide offers some insight into accommodation and meal costs for Budapest.

HOUSING
ESSCA Hungary does not run a students’ residence in Hungary. ESSCA can refer students to real estate agencies in Budapest, which offer all sorts of rental accommodations in the neighborhood of ESSCA.


RESIDENCE PERMIT FOR STUDY IN HUNGARY
Third Country Citizens (neither Hungarians nor EU nationals) have to apply for a Hungarian Residence Permit.  The process costs around 60 euro and the main required documents for the application are: an ESSCA Acceptance Letter, Health Insurance, certificate of a proper financial background for the duration of the program and a signed contract about your accommodation in Hungary.  For detailed information, please contact the nearest Hungarian Consulate and/or visit the website of the Immigration Office of Hungary
