Study Abroad in Paris

As the lines blur between traditional and new media, the constant flow of information impacts political and cultural trends around the world. From 24-hour news channels to citizens and world leaders sharing the same social media platforms to diffuse their reactions, we are exposed to global issues from many different perspectives. Exploring the relationships between media, politics, and citizens has never been more pertinent. This high-impact program places you in the heart of Paris to help you develop critical communication skills and real-world understanding of political and global issues. An Early Start option in the Fall semester allows you to jump start your language learning before the semester begins.

Where You'll Study

Located in the heart of the vibrant Marais District, the CEA CAPA Paris Center offers small class sizes and a wide range of electives taught in English. Choose the courses that best align with your academic, career, and personal interests. Students will receive a transcript from CEA CAPA’s School of Record, upon completion of their program.

Through SIUE's partnership with CEA, all SIUE students who participate in CEA programs receive:
  • A $1,000 travel grant toward any semester program
  • A $500 travel grant toward any summer program

This grant is applied to the student's account at CEA. Note that this grant cannot be combined with other CEA offers which may appear from time to time.
