Through SIUE's agreement with Freie University in Berlin, students can attend summer programs in either Session II or Session III, studying a variety of subjects in English as well as the German language.  Interested students should meet with Dr. Belinda Carstens-Wickham prior to application.

The application process includes a nomination from SIUE.

In an exchange program, students pay tuition to SIUE and housing, meals and fees to the foreign university.  This financially advantageous arrangement allows students to hold tuition costs down and earn up to 6 credits in a summer program.

Housing in Berlin is arranged through the university housing office.
