Kick off your undergraduate career in Spain with AIFS Abroad’s First Year Experience Abroad program in Barcelona. Designed specifically for recent high school graduates and first-year college students, this fall semester study abroad program allows participants to earn academic credit while transitioning into university-level study at the prestigious Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). With introductory coursework taught in English and built-in academic assistance, the program offers a structured and supportive start to college life in an international setting.

The Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) is made up of two campuses and has a student population of over 55,000. Small class sizes are the norm and all professors are native Spaniards or international who have a reputation for being approachable and interested in conversing with visiting students.

Cultural Resources
We are the first education abroad provider to sign on with the
Climate Action Network for International Educators (CANIE).
Focused on making education abroad carbon neutral, we include
carbon offsets for all participants' return flights, environmental
education connecting students on the ground to environmental
projects, and make our own business practices more
sustainable.
